The Everest region lying in the Khumbu Valley has turned out to be one of the most popular peak trekking destinations. It is situated approximately 120km north east of Kathmandu. It is primarily poised with rocky landscape and surrounded deep narrow valley and set at the height of 8848 m in the north and 2845m in the south. The areas around Khumbu are commonly called as the Everest Region.
